How Our AI Search Works
- Option 1: Intent Detection (AWS Comprehend) - We use a lightweight, private model to understand the intent of the query without sharing content or documents
- Option 2: Embedding Match (OpenAI) - Pre-processed content is indexed and matched based on meaning, not keywords
- Option 3: Both - one for searches, one for chats.
Private by Default
Clients choose whether AI features are enabled - and can toggle them at any time. Intent detection uses AWS Comprehend, which retains only the query string for 45 days and does not access any internal documents or user data. For institutions that prefer to keep all data in-house, AI search can be completely disabled.
