Preserving Meeting Links in Calendars
A bank was using a third-party system that reformatted form submissions after they were entered. That tool - meant to sanitize or standardize text - ended up breaking valid Zoom and Teams links submitted by staff.
The Challenge
The client was already using SimplifyIT's smart link detection to flag and handle meeting URLs, but their internal formatting system was modifying the content after submission - turning clean links into unusable fragments. They needed a field that would be completely untouched.
The Fix: A Dedicated Prompt
Rather than attempt to work around the third-party tool, we moved quickly. That same day, we added a new dedicated prompt type: Meeting Link.
This new field:
- Stores the link as structured data
- Bypasses post-submission formatting tools
- Supports Zoom, Teams, Webex, and more
Now Available to All Clients
As with all live improvements, this fix became available platform-wide. Any bank or credit union can now include a Meeting Link prompt in their forms - ensuring hybrid meeting logistics run smoothly and links stay valid.
